NoForcedPacks

Disable a server's forced resource pack — or toggle individual textures on and off — from Minecraft's vanilla Resource Packs menu.

A server forcing its texture pack on you? Take back control — the whole pack, or just the textures you don't want.

NoForcedPacks is a 100% client-side Fabric mod that intercepts the resource packs servers force on you and converts them into optional entries in the vanilla Resource Packs menu. Switch the whole forced pack off, or disable just the individual textures you don't want, and your choices persist across reconnects and restarts. Nothing needs to be installed on the server. Tested on Hypixel and Hypixel Skyblock.

Features

How to use

  1. Install Fabric Loader and Fabric API.
  2. Put the NoForcedPacks .jar in your mods folder and launch.
  3. Join a server that forces a resource pack, then open Options → Resource Packs.
  4. The forced pack (and its individual textures) now appear as toggles. Turn off what you don't want — it's remembered next time.

FAQ

How do I disable a server's forced resource pack in Minecraft?
Install NoForcedPacks. It turns the server's forced pack into an optional entry in the vanilla Resource Packs menu, so you can switch it off — and your choice is saved across reconnects and restarts.
Can I disable only specific textures instead of the whole pack?
Yes. NoForcedPacks supports per-texture control: keep the textures you like from a forced pack and switch off only the individual textures you don't want.
Does it work on Hypixel and Hypixel Skyblock?
Yes — it's tested on both. It's fully client-side, so it works on servers you don't own.
Do I need to install it on the server?
No. NoForcedPacks is 100% client-side. Only you need it installed.
Will it affect resource packs I installed myself?
No. It only affects server-forced packs; your own packs are left untouched.

Just want an off-switch, or fine control?

Simple unlockers let you ignore a forced pack wholesale. NoForcedPacks adds two things on top: per-texture toggling (keep some textures, drop others) and persistence across sessions. If you only ever want all-or-nothing, any unlocker works; if you want granular, remembered control over a server's forced textures, that's what this is for.
